An edition crafted to reignite aspirations and transport our imaginations. As editor-in-chief and founder of Coulture, I set the theme for this issue: “Dreamland.” Delving deep into fashion’s collective unconscious that season, we found a reprieve from reality, a sartorial paradise.
My co-founder and I wrote our letter from the editors, which encourages readers to use their dreams to shape the future.
I knew this issue needed a desert-inspired photoshoot, complete with blush hues and wind-kissed ruffles. The team scouted our location at Jockey's Ridge, North Carolina, and I directed the shoot.
This issue's beauty shoot, where I directed the team and helped do makeup, featured whimsical florals.
A dreamy magazine is incomplete without a few cute baby animals. I directed this shoot at a petting zoo in North Carolina, ensuring animals were artfully incorporated into the shots.
As editor-in-chief, I manage production of the magazine from start to finish. I set the higher-level theme for each issue, edit content, direct photoshoots and supervise graphic design. Check out the full issue here.
